Policies & Review
I understand that Roaming Travel Co., an affiliate of Departure Lounge (Roaming Travel Co.) is not the source of the travel services I am requesting, and acts solely as an agent for the actual suppliers of such services. The suppliers whose names appear in the information supplied to me are those who are actually responsible for providing the travel services I will purchase.  I consent to and request the use of those suppliers and agree not to hold Roaming Travel Co. responsible should any of these suppliers: 1) fail to provide the travel services I have purchased; 2) fail to comply with any applicable law; or 3) engage in any negligent act or omission that causes me any sort of injury, damage, delay or inconvenience. 

I will review my travel documents for accuracy upon receipt and understand that I may contact Roaming Travel Co. if I have any questions.  I will confirm that all travel dates and times proposed are accurate and that all traveler's names, date of birth, and gender given at time of booking match my government ID exactly. I acknowledge that my failure to strictly comply with these requirements may result in denied boarding or an undue delay at an airport security checkpoint causing me to miss my flight. 

I understand that if traveling internationally, I must have a valid passport and depending upon my destination and nationality, I may need to obtain one or more visas. Roaming Travel Co. is not responsible for the issuance of travel identification such as passports and/or visas and travelers should ensure they have or have been approved for the appropriate documents before purchasing travel.

Unless noted, total price shown includes all applicable taxes and fees. Some airlines and hotels may charge additional fees upon arrival. I understand that confirmed fares typically involve restrictions and that changing any aspect of my travel arrangements may result in the payment of additional money.  Conversely, cancellation of any aspect of my travel arrangements may result in financial penalties, in accordance with the supplier’s cancellation policies. 

All fees and pricing are not guaranteed until paid and confirmed. 
            
Travel Insurance
I understand that it is recommended that I purchase travel insurance to cover certain risks inherent in travel such as supplier bankruptcy, trip interruption and/or the inability to travel due to a medical or personal emergency.  If I choose not to purchase travel insurance, I understand the potential penalties and other protections that will not apply if I need to cancel. I will not hold Roaming Travel Co. and its suppliers responsible for any expenses incurred resulting from delay or cancellation of the confirmed itinerary, accident, sickness, death, stolen or damaged baggage or property.  

Travel Acknowledgement & Waiver of Liability
By reserving and agreeing to the travel services and in consideration of travel to and participation in a confirmed itinerary, I hereby release, waive and discharge Roaming Travel Co., their representatives, its officers, advisors, and employees from any and all actions, damages, claims or demands which I have or may incur by participating in the confirmed stated itinerary. I understand that my traveling is voluntary and that this itinerary carries dangers and risks, including but not limited to: damages to and loss to my property, passport or visa, poor judgment, overexertion, slipping, falling, equipment failure, and weather delays. I accept that Roaming Travel Co. is not responsible for, nor will I attempt to hold them liable for any injury, damage or loss I may suffer on the account of any conditions, actions or omissions that are beyond reasonable control.  I agree that this disclaimer includes the entire traveling party and that in the event of any disputes; they may only be litigated in the state of Colorado, Denver County, with a maximum penalty not to exceed the total earned by Roaming Travel Co. in the original transaction. I realize that I am responsible for any injuries to persons or property which may be incurred in connection with my travel and I further expressly agree that the foregoing acknowledgement and waiver of liability is intended to be as broad and inclusive as is permitted by the law. I have read this Travel Acknowledgement & Waiver of Liability and fully understand its terms. I acknowledge that I am signing this waiver freely and voluntarily with full knowledge of its significance.

While Departure Lounge and Roaming Travel Co. travel encourage wanderlust and an adventurous spirit, we don’t endorse all destinations for all travelers. Please carefully research the pros, cons and risks for visiting any destination before finalizing your travel plans. Ultimately, Departure Lounge and our independent contractor travel advisor, (Melissa Downham of Roaming Travel Co.) are not responsible for your safety here or abroad. We focus our efforts on recommending best-in-class travel providers to you, but it is impossible to guarantee your safety. Please review U.S. State Department advisories and third-party news and recommendations as you decide which destinations you will visit on your travels.

By signing this release statement, you acknowledge that you have thoroughly researched the possible risks of your chosen destination. Furthermore, you will not hold Departure Lounge or your travel advisor liable or responsible for your well-being during your visit to the destination.

Did you know…
Starting Oct 1, 2020 TSA will enforce the Federally mandated REAL ID requirements on all domestic travel. For US states that have not been granted an extension, travelers 18 and over are required to present a passport, or other REAL ID compliant forms of identification before boarding a federally regulated commercial aircraft.
